Express Assembly Products offers four lines of electric screwdrivers:
Need help choosing an electric torque screwdriver? Traditional spring base clutched screwdrivers are found everywhere throughout the assembly environment. These torque screwdrivers come in 2 clutch types and three different motor types. For clutches the most common is the full auto shutoff clutch that turns the screwdriver off once the set torque value has been reached. The second clutch type is a slip clutch that slips once the set torque value is reached. The torque repeatability is higher on the auto shut off clutch and when running the screwdriver feels smoother in the operator’s hand since there is no slipping clutch action. The benefit of the slip clutch is for the same torque range they tend to cost less for unit and are a great tool for removing fasteners and light noncritical torque applications. For motor types there are brushless motors and non-brushless motors. Brushless motors run smoother, more powerful and have less maintenance issues then brushed motors. With our brushless line we also offer more accessories that are sometime required in an assembly application (for example, slow start, signal controller, ESD safe housing and screw counting). Brushed screwdrivers are a good solution for straight forward assembly applications. Unfortunately, they cover a smaller torque range (max torque around 40 in-lbs) then brushless torque screwdriver due to motor power.
EA-BN Series – Premium DC Brushless Full Shut-Off Clutch Electric Torque Torque Screwdrivers
- Brushless Motor (results in lower maintenance cost and no carbon fibers entering work environment)
- New Ergonomic design (prevents damage to the fastener that could be caused by the screwdrivers bit.)
- Available in both lever and push-to-start clutches
- Full shut-off clutch turns screwdriver off automatically once the predefined torque setting is reached
- External power supply plugs into either an AC110V or 220V source and converts to a 12 – 40 DCV (depends on screwdriver model)
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection housing (i.e circuit board assembly)
- Torque accuracy +- 3%
- Torque Range 0.07 – 442 in-lbs.
- Models Inline, Pistol Grip, Angle Grip
- Duel RPM
- Can be ordered with advance power supply that has screw counting and automated assembly line integration
Best for: Applications that require precision repeatable torque, duel RPM or EDS protection, for example machine screw applications, general assembly applications, circuit board assembly applications, assembly line integration, or industrial applications.
ED Series – Direct Plug-In Full Shut-Off Clutch Electric Torque Screwdrivers
- Direct plug-in 120V (240V available upon request)
- Lever or Push-to-Start models available
- Clutch turns off automatically once the predefined torque setting is reached.
- Stepless torque adjuster for easy torque changes
- Torque accuracy +- 3%
- Torque Range 1.3 – 40.0 in-lbs.
- Models Inline, Pistol Grip, Angle Grip
- Single speed
Best for: Applications that require precision repeatable torque, for example mechine screw applications, general assembly applications, or industrial application.
ES Series – Direct Plug-In Slip Clutch Electric Torque Screwdrivers
- Direct plug-in, lever start – Start the screwdriver by applying slight pressure on the trigger lever
- Slip/cushion clutch – When the torque setting is reached, the clutch slips until the lever is released
- Stepless Torque Adjuster for easy torque changes
- Torque accuracy +- 5%
- Torque Range 0.44– 40.0 in-lbs.
- Models Inline
- Single Speed
Best for: Assembly applications that require less demanding torque accuracy, for example self-tapping screw applications, general assembly applications, or disassembly applications.
EA Series – Standard DC Full Shut-Off Clutch Electric Torque Screwdrivers
- Available in both lever and push-to-start motors
- Clutch turns off automatically once the predefined torque setting is reached – prevents damage to the fastener by the screwdriver’s bit.
- External power supply plugs into either an AC110V or 220V source and converts to a 32 DC V
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection housing (i.e circuit board assembly)
- Torque accuracy +- 3%
- Torque Range 8.68 – 40.0 in-lbs.
- Models Inline
- Duel RPM
Best for: Applications that require precision repeatable torque, duel RPM or EDS protection, for example machine screw applications, general assembly applications, circuit board assembly applications, or industrial application.
